David studied photography in London in the late 1970s. After twenty years photographing everything from cats to Ferraris, he decided to concentrate on his landscape photography and became a full-time photo workshop leader in 2000. David has always been more interested in the whys of photography rather than the hows and has written two books detailing his personal philosophy of photography, Landscape Within and Landscape Beyond. He's proud to say the only award he's ever won for his photographs is a t-shirt.
